We heard about Birch Bay Waterslides having a discount day thu HUGE Men of God. It was in our church bulletin. We have not been to the waterslides since Caitlyn was little. It was not a very sunny day and it did rain on us but we had some good family time. We went on all the slides (there is only 8 adult slides) and the place was emtpy because of the weather so we did not have to wait in any lines. Evan played in the kid pool most of the time. He had fun. We did have a little snack of fries and nachos. Caitlyn would not go on the black drop slide but Jeremy and I did. When I got off the slide I was on the pavement and I did not see the step and twisted my foot/ankle. I fell and got some scrapes on my knee and foot on my left foot and my right was hurting. That did not stop my from taking on a few more slides. But once 4pm hit I was toast. I was driving home and I had to have Jeremy finish driving because I was in so much pain. When we got home I could not even walk into the house, Jeremy had to help me. I still cannot put pressure on it. I have had it put up and on ice. It feels a little better but I cannot walk on it. I will wait until tomorrow to see how it is and if we need to see a doctor. I sure hope not. This is the first event of the summer and I better not be laid up for the rest of the summer!

Project of the week
I decided to weed the parking area next to the house. I have not weeded it in years. It was full of sticker bushes and random weeds. I started last week. It took 4 working days to do it. I calculated more than 10 hours spent. It does not look like much but it sure was. I have the cuts and bites from the bugs to prove it. The area is 2 car lengths.
After day 4. This was the most difficult. This is where the sticker bushes were the worst. I finished Wed night at 9:45pm. It is dark as you can see but I am finally done. I need to decide either to regravel it or grass it. I like the extra parking but what a pain if I miss a year of weeding.

ZOO Trip
Tuesday June 19th we had our first summer event. We went to Woodland Park Zoo. It was a wonderful and beautiful day. We got to see almost all the animals. We were greeted by the peacock first thing. He was on the roof of the building then he jumped off to say HI!
After a few hours of walking around we stopped for lunch. We had cheeseburgers, fries and pizza. It was very yummy. The sun had just started to come out and it was warming up very fast.
In the Zoomaziam the kids built crazy animals with all different body parts. It was a great way to use there creativity. They were kinda creepy too.
What a great way to kick off the summer. Hopefully we will have lots of fun adventures this summer!

Yet another Bday dinner
Evan helped me bake his cake for his birthday. He showed me all the ingredients I needed for the cake.
Evan got some more gifts for his birthday. He has 3D glasses, little people and of course more Legos
We went to Red Robin Friday night even though Evan's birthday is not until tomorrow. Grandma Karen and Papa Bill are going to see Missy so we could not have dinner with them tomorrow. We had burgers, riblets, chicken salad and riblets
Evan got some more gifts for his birthday. He has 3D glasses, little people and of course more Legos
Birthday Cake. YUM. Make a wish!!!
Outside it was pouring down rain and sunny so we saw a rainbow. If you look really close you can see the double rainbow the one on bottom is really dark but there is another one above it. It is very light. But it sure was beautiful.
Genesis 9:12-16
[12] And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: [13] I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. [14] Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, [15] I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. [16] Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth
