Cruise 2013 Day 9

Well we had to get up really early today. They kids were not very happy to have to get up that early. We went up and had breakfast on the Lido deck. It was a great last breakfast. Then we went and got all our carry-ons and had to wait for our number to be called to get off the ship. We waited on the Lido deck and Cheri encouraged the kids to play M&M hockey with stir sticks for the coffee. They had fun and it kept them busy. Once outside we called our shuttle and it picked us up early to head to the airport. The kids did fall asleep in the shuttle, I think they were still a little tired. Once at the airport we at at Chili's resturant it was really good and wasted some time. We went to the shops and looked around too. They guys and Caitlyn played video games and Cheri took a nap. She was tired.

The kids and Jeremy fell asleep before we even got to when the fasten seatbelt sign came off. They were all exhausted. They guy in the back who looks like George Lopez was not impressed by my picture taking...

Since it was mothers day we mothers got a free drink of choice. I don't drink but I got a rum and coke. I gave the rum to Jeremy and drank the coke myself. It was fun just to order one and since it was free, Why not!

Our stop.. We had to get a late night snack while changing planes. Yum!

May 12th This is the end of the journey. We got home safely and got back on to the real world. so sad.

Cruise 2013 Day 8

We got to sleep in the last full day on the cruise. It was nice to relax. We took it easy today. We swam. Cheri and I scrapbooked for a little while. We finally ate at Fish'n'chips. It was really yummy. We also had some yummy desserts. I saw our waiter from our first cruise on the Carnival Triumph, Eduardo. It was good to say HI even if he did not remember me. We played mini golf with grandma Joy and Grandpa John, Grandma Karen and Papa Bill too. The servers danced Gangnam Style for us and Evan got his picture taken with Augusto. We came back to find a heart towel creation. Then Cheri took the kids for awhile so I could quickly pack up a little. It was nice. We lined up all our suitcases outside our door for the cruise team to take them to the airport for us. Sad last day.

Cruise 2013 day 7

Grand Turk: We are kayaking with Seth and Cheri while Grandma Karen and Papa Bill take the kids to Governors Beach to snorkel. The water was beautiful. We went to a little lake to kayak. We had a tour guide who told us all about the plants (the mangroves are really popular) on the island and let us know a little history too.

We parked our kayaks and toured this little island by foot. We got to see cactus and other plants.

This is the Circle of Life: We got to touch/hold anenome and a sea cucumber. There were conch's too. We had the option to eat the conch meat. They showed  us how to properly detach the strong muscle that holds the conch in his shell. Jeremy tried some of the conch meat and said it tasted like calamari. I was not brave enough to try it.

Mom and dad get a couple hours free of kids now. They are going to camp carnival. Evan is really excited and Caitlyn is going in strong protest. She wanted to stay with us for dinner but we ditched her anyway. Evan loved camp carnival. He was having a blast playing with kids his age instead of hanging out with us.

It is elegant night so we are all dressed up and we did pictures in the lobby.

Jeff and the magician.

We are still trying to figure this one out. Maybe a platapus or gorilla,

Another show in the Amber Palace. It was the Divas show. It was great. I did not know alot of the songs but I went with it.

We had a late night snack with John and Joy.

Watching Pirates of the Carribbean on the big screen.
