Cruise 2013 day 6

We are at San Juan, Puerto Rico today. Before I got off the ship I was suppose to meet Cheri for a run on the track but I could not find the track and it was pouring down rain so I went to the gym and ran there. I did get an earfull for ditching Cheri. Sorry Cheri... But anyway we were doing a walking tour around San Juan and Cheri was our tour guide. Seth stayed on the boat with Jeff and gamed. We saw the Senor Frog car. It was really neat. We wanted to walk along the Passeo Del Morro it was actually really easy to find. It started to pour down rain on us. Someone from the Sheraton ran out and gave Joy an umbrella so she would stay a little dryer. Grandpa John gave up his jacket to Evan since he was miserable. Then the sun came out and it got HOT! It felt great.  We got to see the Chapel and the wall. It was built around the 1600's and if you were outside the gate when it closed you were left there until morning. You could not get in. We saw many stray cats. They all live/roam around.

 

Cheri stepped in a big puddle and had mud up her leg. She just did like the birds in a birdbath and cleaned her own leg.

 

We then wen to the Fort: Castillo San Felipe Del Morro. It was really big. We got to walk around 5 floors. The kids loved walking around. Evan really enjoyed climbing on all the walls. We kept pulling him down. There were not fences/ropes to block you from the edge. He was being a daredevil.

 

We did some shopping after our trip to the Fort. Cheri had to pick up a cigar for Seth and Jeremy bought some too. We did get some other souveniers too. The cobblestone streets were alot of fun.

 

When we got back we met up with Jeff and played a round of mini golf. There was a tournament going on at the same time so it was a little crazy up there. Caitlyn did not want to play she was our great scorekeeper! A guy won a trophy and he wanted to play Evan for it. Evan won of course... And he won a gold plastic Ship on a Stick. He carried that trophy around most of the rest of the trip. He was very proud of it.

 

 

The kids got to our towel creation first. It was a crab but I am not sure now.

Late night swim. Cheri and Caitlyn had a blast in the pool and hot tub. They boys gamed. We watched the Jonas brother on the big screen.
