Forks Road Trip Day 1

Day One July 19th: We packed the kids up in the car and started our drive. We took the Edmonds/Kingston ferry. We could not have asked for a better day. It was beautiful blue skies and really warm. We stopped and had lunch when we got to Kingston.

Port Angeles: We needed to run by a bank so we stopped for a bathroom break at DQ. Of course we needed to get blizzards. We were by a nice little park on the water. This is a police officer on a Segway. He was making sure everyone obeyed the law.

Lake Crescent. We summarized the story of the Lady of the Lake for the girls. We looked it up later and they got all the details. Thanks Brenda!

We're here!!!!!

Our great room. It was totally cool.

We stopped at Forks Outfitters (where Bella worked in the movie). They have a section called the Twilight Zone. It had lots of fun stuff. Caitlyn even wore Bella's name tag.

Bella's truck from the movie. It is in front of the Chamber of Commerce.

Nature trail: We took a nice little walk on the trail.

Forks High School: They had demolished the original school built in the 1920's. in June 2011 and built a new school. I don't know why they demolished it but the new school looked nice.

At Leppells store. It was really cool to get pics with the boys. This store had so much really cool scrapbooking stuff. I could have bought alot but I did not. I am still questioning this decision. I really want my "Twilight" scrapbook to be cool.

Chief Swans Police car.

The Cullen house. Do you see Edward on the top floor looking out the window? Dr. Cullen's parking spot at the Community Health Center.

We decided to take a walk after watching Eclipse. We found some local's on top of roofs, there were some tailgators (young kids) messing around. It was very much a small town. We found this little mini golf family fun park. We decided to play. The rooms were themed. It was alot of fun. Then we came back to the hotel and watched Breaking Dawn part 1. It was a lot of fun. A long day with lots to do. Cannot wait until tomorrow....
