First days of school 2012-2013

Caitlyn started 5th grade this year. She is 10 yrs old and growing so fast. During 5th grade the kids are getting prepared for 6th grade. She is really excited and looks amazing!

 

Evan is starting Preschool this year. His teacher is Mrs. Lane she is very animated and seems fun. Evan had homework before school even started. He had to draw a picture of what his favorite thing he did this summer. He chose playing mini golf and riding in go-karts. I cannot wait to see he grow this year!

A day of fun

We had a spa day earlier in the afternoon, Evan and I had a foot soak and Caitlyn massaged and moisturized our feet. Then Caitlyn and I used my parafin dip and our hands felt great when we were done.

 

My cousins are up from California. They stayed at Grandma Karens house. This is Abby, she is 10 mo old. Caitlyn had a blast with her.

 

And Evelyn. Evelyn is 3 1/2 yrs old. Her and Evan played together alot. He had fun.

 

Grandma Karen got in on the fun too. She was drawing a beautiful butterfly with sidewalk chalk.

Summer Fun Pizza Party

 

Thanks to Elicia for creating the Summer Fun Challenge. We had a great time doing extra fun things throughout the summer. This was a nice little wrap up to the summer. It was fun to hang out with everyone and visit!!!

 

Can't wait until next summer.

The Evergreen State Fair

Evergreen State Fair

 

The kids got to be a farmer for a day: They picked potates, milked a cow, picked a juicy apple and collected eggs from chickens. They had a great time.

 

We stopped by to do a little "look shopping" they kids tried on some really cute hats

 

We did an art project where we had a small piece of paper and used branches from trees outside to make a design. They kids loved it. It was sad because we forgot to pick up the projects when we left.

In the barn museum we got to see an old telephone operator system, cream separator and lots more. The kids really liked to ground the corn and wheat.

Evan got to ride a pedal tractor. We did buy 2 tickets to win one. But we did not. He had fun on them anyway.

 

Onto the rides. The kids loved the scrambler ride the best. They went on it at least 4 times. We bought bracelets so they could ride as many rides as they wanted to.

 

It was a very beautiful day and we had a great time. Can't wait until next year!!!
